Reflections on the Bhagavad Gita, Part 1

Swami Chetanananda discusses the core message of the Bhagavad Gita: that there is only one thing. In the face of the chaos that is life on earth, this recognition enables us to focus on the love that is our essence as we move through our days and the activities that we are engaged in.

In our spiritual practice, we must hold ourselves in a state of complete surrender and allow the divine to do its work in the field of our experience through service. Otherwise, the ego becomes inflated and misleads us into thinking that we have power that we don’t. Ego is accumulation; serving is flow with devotion.
